Recovery by the Slice
Tues. and Thurs. 12-1PM
Location: The Carter Treatment Center
We are pleased to announce joining forces with CARES to create a new meeting at The Carter Treatment Center – Recovery by the Slice.
Our new meeting called – “Recovery by the Slice” will be an All Recovery Meeting facilitated by CARES. The meeting will be held every Tuesday and Thursday, and we encourage you to attend this meeting to help your ongoing sobriety along with creating more relationships for support in your recovery as well as enjoy free pizza!
Have you ever heard of an All Recovery Meeting? I never had until just recently and I think the concept sounds pretty cool. These meetings are based on the philosophy that people from every addiction recovery pathway have much in common and can benefit from sharing together. These meetings are open to anyone regardless of path, as well as family members, and offer a place where people can share their addiction recovery experiences, with an emphasis on the hope and healing of recovery and how recovery has changed our lives, regardless of the substance or behavior that is at the root of our addiction.
The mission of Georgia CARES’s is to promote long-term recovery from substance use disorders by providing experienced peer support and advocating for self-directed care.
CARES Vision Statement
We envision a recovery-oriented system of care that supports self-directed pathways to recovery by building on the strengths and resilience of individuals, families and communities.
Hope – Wellness – Diversity – Recovery – Integrity – Commitment

SMART Recovery’s 4-Point Program® helps people recover from all types of addictive behaviors, including: alcoholism, drug abuse, substance abuse, drug addiction, alcohol abuse, gambling addiction, cocaine addiction, and addiction to other substances and activities.
SMART Recovery (Self-Management And Recovery Training) is not a 12-step group, like Alcoholics Anonymous (AA) or Narcotics Anonymous (NA). Smart Recovery uses techniques and group support designed to help participants gain a different sense of control over their addictive thoughts and behaviors so that they can experience the joy of recovery without the need to use or engage in addictive behaviors.
Every Saturday we have a free Smart Recovery Meeting at The Carter Treatment Center at 9:00 am.

Crystal Meth Anonymous
Saturday at 4:00 PM
What Is Crystal Meth Anonymous
Crystal Meth Anonymous is a fellowship of people who share their experience, strength and hope with each other, so they may solve their common problem and help others to recover from addiction to crystal meth. The only requirement for membership is a desire to stop using. There are no dues or fees for CMA membership; we are self-supporting through our own contributions. CMA is not allied with any sect, denomination, politics, organization or institution; does not wish to engage in any controversy; and neither endorses nor opposes any causes. Our primary purpose is to lead a sober life and to carry the message of recovery to the crystal meth addict who still suffers.*
