Carla Evans
Bio
Carla attended Georgia State University, earning her B.S. in Psychology while minoring in Music. She is currently working towards her M.S. in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from the University of North Georgia. Carla will be graduating in May 2020. She is a member of the American Counseling Association and the International Association of Marriage and Family Counselors. Carla is passionate about working with individuals, couples, and families struggling with substance-use disorders. Carla enjoys working from a Family Systems framework along with Narrative Therapy, Reality Therapy, DBT, and Person-Centered Therapy. She is on her way to becoming a Nationally Certified Counselor as well as an LPC. Originally from South Africa, Carla immigrated to the United States when she was 5 years old. She has traveled to over 14 countries since then and enjoys discovering new cities and cultures across the globe. Carla spends her time off with her family, friends, and her dogs, Lucy and Zoey.
