Marilyn is a seasoned Addiction Counselor with 20 years of experience, having earned her certification through the Georgia Addiction Counselors Association (GACA) and the Alcohol and Drug Abuse Certification Board of Georgia (ADACBGA). Marilyn has served as the Chair of the Training and Education Committee on the GACA Board of Directors, the Standards Chair for the Georgia Association of Recovery Residences (GARR) and she is a Past President of GARR as well. For 15 years, she owned and operated a long-term substance abuse treatment center with two locations, licensed by the Georgia Department of Community Health. Marilyn has experience in working with Medically Assisted Treatment modalities, Parole and Probation, Judges and Attorneys, Accountability Courts and has served as a consultant for programs in the Treatment Field. She is currently pursuing a specialty degree in Addiction Studies at the University of South Dakota.
